Annalisa Teixeira, PhD, PCC is a coach and trainer with experience designing and delivering coaching programs for learners in higher education and medical education. She currently serves as the inaugural Director of Resident and Fellow Developmentat the UC Davis School of Medicine where she coaches physicians in training. In a previous position she pioneered UC Davis’s first coaching program for undergraduate and graduate students, Success Coaching and Learning Strategies, including designing an integrated coaching-advising model to support self-directed learning. Passionate about equipping staff and faculty with coaching skills, she has trained professionals across UC Davis in the divisions of Student Affairs, Undergraduate Education, and Graduate Studies, as well as the School of Nursing and School of Medicine. Practicing cultural humility and holding social justice values, she works to center the learner and their identities as they envision and create the change they want to see personally, academically, and professionally.
Dr. Teixeira’s coaching training began in 2017 with Jodi Sleeper-Triplett and JST Coaching. She is a professional certified coach with the International Coaching Federation, completing the Professional Coaching for Life and Work program in 2018 with UC Davis, Continuing and Professional Education. She is also a Certified Health & Well-Being Coach, trained at Duke Health and Well-Being in 2021. A linguist by training with a background in cognitive learning science, she is an alumna of UC Davis (PhD, 2015).
