Be Intentional

January is here and with it comes the familiar sense of possibility. I often view January as a fresh start but can feel pressured to come up with one goal to focus on for the year.

Putting on my coach hat, I remember this time of year is a chance to reconnect with what matters most for me and my clients: creating safe, inclusive spaces where clients feel supported by exploring who they are and who they are becoming.

Instead of focusing on resolutions, let’s consider intentionality. Our family members, friends, colleagues and clients thrive when we encourage curiosity rather than pressure, help them build routines that feel sustainable and encourage self-compassion over chasing unrealistic goals. January is the perfect time to help them build routines that honor their strengths and unique rhythms.

But this isn’t just about others, it’s about us.

  • How can we model the self-care, adaptability and mindful goal setting that we encourage in others?
  • Are there boundaries, habits or areas for growth that you want to pay attention to this year?
  • What do you want to be intentional about doing this year?

As we move into 2026, let’s remember that small wins should be celebrated. Honest conversations with our clients, our friends and family and ourselves are opportunities for intentionally to show up. Be intentional about being curious, inclusive and kind.

Here’s to a year of intentionality, holistic wellbeing and meaningful momentum for you and everyone you support.
