Empowering Students Through Coaching is a research-based comprehensive coach training program for life coaching and ADHD/neurodiversity coaching. This training program provides 90 hours of an ICF Level 1 accredited coach training, including the 10 hours of ICF-required mentoring and a coaching skills assessment for an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential. Participants are responsible for ICF fees for membership and final ACC certification.
The first component of the training focuses on the ICF core competencies to provide a solid foundation of professional coaching skills through lecture, demonstrations, and practice. Once the core coaching skills have been established, we will explore the shift from life coaching to neurodiversity coaching in order to co-create lasting change for students of all ages. The course will unwrap the nuances of coaching adolescents, college students and adults living with ASD, ADHD, executive function challenges and co-existing conditions.
Participants in Empowering Students Through Coaching will explore the JST Coaching Model which was designed specifically for coaching students and has been used in groundbreaking coaching research studies. This is the only research-based student coach training in the world. Become a JST trained coach and make a difference in the lives of students!
Why is neurodiversity an integral part of our training program?
- Understanding and embracing neurodiversity in communities, academic settings and workplaces can improve inclusivity for all.
- Learning how to foster an environment that is supportive of neurodiversity unlocks opportunities to recognize and celebrate each client’s individual strengths and talents.
- Approaching the coaching process from a neurodiversity perspective deepens the partnership between coach and client and also provides a safe space for exploration and achievement.
