Recently I had the opportunity to reflect on my 30 years in the field of ADHD Coaching & Student Coach Training with Brandon Slade, founder of Untapped Learning on the podcast for an episode titled, “Coaching The Whole Child: Jodi Sleeper-Triplett on 30 Years of ADHD Advocacy and EF Support.”
Reflecting on the changes in coaching and our understanding of neurodiversity since I started my work in the 1990’s, I am pleased with the progress in both areas while concerned for the future of neurodivergent students. The world needs a new generation of well-trained coaches who have a strong background in neurodiversity and are ready to support students facing academic and personal challenges that interfere with their success.
I hope this episode serves as a helpful starting point for anyone considering how they might step into a coaching role to support these incredible neurodivergent learners.
I am always looking to connect with those interested in becoming part of this new generation of coaches. If you’re curious and want to learn more about the path to professional training, please reach out.
