Policies
Participation Policy*
Success in our program requires full commitment by all participants. By enrolling in this course, participants agree to being fully present during all sessions and participate to the best of their ability. This includes arriving on time, abiding by the code of conduct, and engaging in course activities.
Attendance Policy*
In order to provide you with the minimum training hours required for certification, it is important that you are present at all course meetings. If you have an emergency or become ill and are not able to attend a coaching session, please contact your instructor and the Director of Training immediately. You will be expected to complete the session materials, review the session recording, and complete a lesson quiz to make up for the missed session.
Empowering Students Through Coaching: If you need to miss more than 8 hours (4 lessons) of the course, you will have the option to work with the instructor to cover the missed material at your own expense or receive a certificate of completion for the hours of participation plus up to 4 class make-up quizzes (8 hours).
If you miss any group or individual mentor coaching, you will need to arrange and pay for an individual mentor coaching session to complete the required 10 hours of mentor coaching to satisfy the International Coaching Federation requirements an ACC credential.
Petitions to this policy are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing to the instructor/mentor and the Director of Training/Mentoring.

Course Engagement*
Our courses are designed to be interactive and engaging for our participants. It is therefore our expectation that you will participate in course activities, including dialogue with the course instructor and peers, mock coaching activities, and experiential learning exercises. If you are unable to participate in an activity, please inform your instructor as soon as possible. Please refer to the code of conduct for additional details.
Code of Conduct*
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner during all sessions. This includes but is not limited to:
- >Arriving on time for all sessions.
- Attending all live sessions and mentor coaching sessions.
- Having your camera on for virtual live sessions unless you opt out below.
- Participating fully in all sessions and mentor coaching sessions. This includes being prepared for the sessions, involving yourself in discussions and activities, assuming responsibility for your learning, and contributing to the learning of others.
- Engaging in discussions with integrity and honesty.
- Refraining from private Zoom chat conversations with other participants during class.
- Being respectful of your fellow participants and instructors, including silencing your cell phone, not texting, and other disruptive behaviors.
- Embracing diversity and inclusion while respecting the dignity and humanity of others.
Transfer of Credit*
JST Coaching & Training does not accept transfer credits from other coach training programs and requires that incoming participants take the program from beginning to end to obtain a Level 1 certificate, regardless of previous training hours.
Payment of Fees*
All registrations are secured on a first-come, first-served basis. Participant registration in a course is dependent upon receipt of payment in full or at least the first installment of our 3- or 6- month payment plans. We accept online payment by debit and credit card and will invoice a participant with a payment link upon request. All payments will be in U.S. dollars.
Refunds*
If a participant withdraws from the course before the second week, JST will refund 90% of the payment received. After that time, we offer a prorated refund or credit towards a future course. No refunds will be provided after the fifth week, except under documented special/emergency circumstances.
Confidentiality, Non-Disclosure & Privacy*
- All course materials including content, handouts and forms are the property of JST Coaching, LLC. As such, you are prohibited from sharing these materials with others without prior written permission of JST Coaching, LLC.
- Use of course materials and class recordings are restricted to enrolled participants only. You have permission to tailor and utilize the coaching forms for use in your individual coaching practice. However, resale or bulk reproduction of any course materials is strictly prohibited.
- Class discussions are to be held in confidence out of respect for the sacred space of the coaching environment. Additionally, class recordings are private and are not to be shared with anyone outside of this course.
- Confidentiality is of the utmost importance and a core component of the ICF Code of Ethics. We will be coaching one another on real issues and the information shared must remain confidential, as it would with an actual client. Do not discuss the coaching issues from class or from your buddy coaching sessions with others, including trainers, mentors and JST staff.
- We acknowledge the importance of protecting the information and privacy of both our participants and coaches. To that end, we have requested your permission to share your personal information with your fellow participants. We ask that you keep this information private.
- We have requested your consent to be video and audio recorded each week for the sole purpose of allowing classmates to view a missed session(s), as well as allow participants to review past lessons, coaching demos, or practice coaching sessions. Videos will be posted via an unlisted playlist and the link will only be made available to staff and participants. We ask that you keep this link private.
- We are committed to keeping your information confidential and appreciate your
cooperation.
Video Recording Consent
JST Coaching and Training acknowledges the importance of protecting your privacy and your personal information. To that end, we request your permission to share your personal information – specifically your name, email, phone number and general location (city & state, province, or region and country) – with the JST Team and your fellow training participants. In turn, you agree to keep any contact information you receive private and confidential.

Distance Learning Trainings Participants*
JST records all training classes in order to allow participants the opportunity to review a past lesson or to make up a missed lesson. Videos will be posted in the class SharePoint folder via a private, unlisted link that will only be made available to course participants and the JST Team (faculty and staff). We ask that you keep this link private and confidential.
I consent to being video recorded with my fellow classmates by JST Coaching & Training. I understand that this consent is perpetual, that I may not revoke it and that it is binding.
If I DO NOT CONSENT to being video recorded by JST Coaching & Training. Therefore, I will be responsible for turning off my camera during all training classes.
I have read the terms of this agreement as stated in Sections 3 and 4 and accept those terms.
